The Program Classic

On Sunday, October 1st, 2023, The Program NYC hosted its first ever “The Program Classic” at the iconic Dyckman Park in upper Manhattan. 

We kicked off the day with a skills clinic for 50 boys & girls, aged 3rd-6th grade, primarily from the Dyckman community. 

Next, we hosted our Girls All-Star Game, a matchup between Team New York vs. Team New Jersey, which featured some of the most talented 7th and 8th graders from both states. Team New York was coached by current Christ The King standout Olivia Vukosa, and Team New Jersey was coached by current Penn Charter star Ryan Carter. 

For our main event, our Boys All-Star Game also featured Team New York vs. Team New Jersey, with both teams outfitted by some of the top middle schoolers in the region. 

For Team New York, our guest coaches were Kiyan Anthony (ESPN #41, Class of 2025), Boogie Fland (ESPN #19, Class of 2024), and VJ Edgecombe (ESPN #5, Class of 2024). 

For Team New Jersey, our guest coaches were Dylan Harper (ESPN #2, Class of 2024) and Meleek Thomas (ESPN #6, Class of 2025). 

Attendees at the event included Carmelo Anthony, Miles McBride, Speedy Morman, and many other grassroots figures and influencers.
